Paradise Zip Pouch

Add a bit more colour and pattern to your everyday with the new range of pencil and cosmetic cases. These zip pouches are truly versatile and are such a practical size they really can help keep your handbag or desk beautifully organised without compromising in colour or quality. 

The extra height you get with a zip pouch means there is so much more you can use this for.  Of course it’s perfect for stationery storage - you can get a whole set of pens, pencils, rulers and even scissors, washi and journaling essentials too. But it can also be used as a toiletry or makeup bag, a travel bag to keep your key documents together in your hand-luggage, or keep your small electricals or laptop attachments in it so they’re not rolling around and getting caught on other things. 

Key to it being so practical is its square bottom - this isn’t just a flat pouch, it’s got a base to give it that extra give and also means that it can stand up too (depending on how you fill it of course!)

Featuring my best-selling Paradise pattern with hand-drawn birds and vibrant colour-blocks, this colourway is the same as the stationery range (give or a take a little given it’s on fabric not paper!).  I’m over the moon to be able to reintroduce fabric items to the Holchester Designs range now that I’ve found a collaborator that is both UK based but who also values sustainable practices just like me.  

The pattern was originally inspired by the stunning Birds of Paradise, and it uses my original hand-drawn sketches which I then refined digitally before turning them into a repeat pattern.  This pattern is consistently my most popular, and now you can find it across these cases, notebooks and on other recycled paper products too.   

These are printed in Scotland on sustainable cotton, and then handmade (also in Scotland) in small batches to ensure minimum fabric waste.  The YKK zip is really sturdy, made from recycled plastic and with a leather zip pull for ease of opening.  Plus the thread used is also from recycled plastic and the case is fully lined for maximum practicality.  It will be posted out to you packaged simply with a recycled and recyclable tag, before being wrapped and posted out in our standard recycled/recyclable plastic-free packaging. 

Not sure if this is the right size? Don’t worry - there are three different sizes of case available.  This Zip pouch is the biggest, but there’s also the Standard Pencil case (same bottom dimensions, but not as tall) and the Slim (the smallest).

All packaging is plastic free, from tags and belly bands to postal packaging, and where possibly is also used multiple times. 

If your item does come covered, it’s in a biodegradable cellophane which will naturally decompose but also keeps your paper looking crisp on it’s travels.

All orders are processed within 3-5 working days and standard postage is via Royal Mail Tracked 48. 

All items are sent plastic free and in some cases the postal packaging you receive may have been used before.  Wherever possible I do recycle packaging, but I do check it’s in good enough condition to protect your items before it’s used.  I don’t, however, think it’s right to say I'm all about being sustainable and then use totally fresh postal packaging for every order. 

For all non-personalised items we accept returns up to 14 days after delivery, as long as the item is unused and in its original condition.

Do you make everything yourself? 

All the designs you see on my products are the results of my own original hand-drawn artwork which in turn I transform digitally into repeat patterns.  The physical products are then printed/made/sewn by specialist manufacturers from around the UK. 

Do you use AI in your designs?

AI (Artificial intelligence) is not used at any stage of my creative process. 

As a small business who uses lots of different tools, it’s impossible to avoid AI altogether in the running of my business, but my creative process is absolutely where I draw the line.  You can read more about my thoughts on AI, and how it is involved in other areas of my business, in this blog post.
