Description
This is an updated version of my first ever floral A5 Notepad, the Spring Forward pattern that was part of the original Kickstarter campaign back in 2020. We've still got the teal, we've still got the graphic flowers, but this time it fits in seamlessly next to the [much bigger] Floral Trellis collection.
And an A5 notepad is always handy, whether it stays by you on your desk, lives near the phone, or is tucked in a letter rack in the kitchen ready for last minute lists, I reckon it’s a staple in anyone's stationery collection. And even if what you’re using it for isn’t the most exciting, having a beautiful patterned pad still means I smile when I reach for it. In fact I reckon it's a lovely bit of self-care as a little treat!
My Floral Trellis pattern was inspired by trellis arches in country house gardens, which when in full bloom became a bit of an obsession of mine as they looked and smelled so incredible. My hand-drawn flowers were then digitised and tweaked for scale to be used across the collection.
This recycled paper notepad has 50 tear-off sheets per pad, which are lightly glued together along the top edge. The central panel is ever-so-slightly transparent, so you can still faintly see the pattern underneath, but also clearly read what’s been written. The paper is 100gsm, so it’s nice and smooth to write on and an easily cope with inkier pens and highlighters, and the pad is backed by recycled board to give it some rigidity. Along with the vegetable oil based inks used by my UK based printer, it means this product is made from recycled elements and is also fully recyclable too. Finally, this notepad will come to you wrapped in a recycled paper belly band, which is also fully recyclable.
There’s a few reasons why a notepad such as this makes a great gift, especially for stationery lovers. Firstly they’re an easy shape to wrap and post. Secondly, they make a unique budget-friendly yet quality gift, especially good for a colleague or a secret-santa. And whilst not everyone likes full-on florals, I like to think the colours on these pads mean they’re vibrant but not obnoxiously floral (which sometimes is just what you want, but not always). And finally they’re a practical present too, so if you’re conscious about not wanting to get something for the sake of it a pad like this, or just generally beautiful patterned stationery, make a brilliant choice. And actually my A5 pads, and sets including them, are popular teacher gifts too.
Looking to make a bigger gift set out of it? Not only can you make your own set using other products from the shop (these in combination with a list pad especially make a great little functional set) but there’s also some pre-made sets available in the Stationery Gift Sets category too which makes things a little more cost effective.
Sustainability
Sustainability
I want my products to leave as little a mark on the planet as possible. And with this in mind all my products are:
Made in the UK by manufacturers who all source their materials, manage their materials and deal with their waste responsibly.
1 tree is planted for every order in partnership with Ecologi.
All packaging is plastic free, from tags and belly bands to postal packaging, and where possibly is also used multiple times.
If your item does come covered, it’s in a biodegradable cellophane which will naturally decompose but also keeps your paper looking crisp on it’s travels.
You can read more about my attempt to be as sustainable a business as possible in this blog post.
Delivery & Returns
Delivery & Returns
All orders are processed within 3-5 working days and standard postage is via Royal Mail Tracked 48.
All items are sent plastic free and in some cases the postal packaging you receive may have been used before. Wherever possible I do recycle packaging, but I do check it’s in good enough condition to protect your items before it’s used. I don’t, however, think it’s right to say I'm all about being sustainable and then use totally fresh postal packaging for every order.
For all non-personalised items we accept returns up to 14 days after delivery, as long as the item is unused and in its original condition.
FAQs
FAQs
Do you make everything yourself?
All the designs you see on my products are the results of my own original hand-drawn artwork which in turn I transform digitally into repeat patterns. The physical products are then printed/made/sewn by specialist manufacturers from around the UK.
Do you use AI in your designs?
AI (Artificial intelligence) is not used at any stage of my creative process.
As a small business who uses lots of different tools, it’s impossible to avoid AI altogether in the running of my business, but my creative process is absolutely where I draw the line. You can read more about my thoughts on AI, and how it is involved in other areas of my business, in this blog post.
Do you take wholesale orders?
Absolutely I do - it’s my favourite way of getting my stationery out into the world! You can find more information on the wholesale page of my website.
