Description

Looking for a small and elegant, yet also thoughtful, and maybe even letterbox friendly, gift for a friend or colleague? Then the Deco notepad set might be the way to go! This set combines the two most popular notepad sizes - A5 and a List pad - with a sophisticated pattern to create just such a unique stationery gift set.

My Deco Delights pattern is inspired by the elegance, sculptural lines and statement detail of the Art Deco era.   Started as a hand-drawn motif, I worked it up digitally in order to refine it and create a larger seamless pattern. The dark teal, with golden yellow detailing give it an opulent and stylish feel but with a slightly more contemporary edge.

This set includes on A5 notepad, and one List pad, both of which are on 100gsm recycled paper and printed with vegetable oil based inks.  Each pad has 50 sheets, and are glued together along the narrower top edge, although they’re very easy to tear off as you need to. Both pads have a ever-so-slightly transparent central panel so the pattern is faintly visible underneath, but without making it difficult to read or write on it.

Each notepad is individually wrapped in biodegradable cellophane, so can be disposed of in household rubbish and will easily decompose without causing harm, and they’ll then be bound together with a paper belly band.  Alternatively I can gift wrap them, include a handwritten note, and post directly to the recipient - which these happen to be perfect for as they easily fit within a letterbox friendly box.

Sustainability

I want my products to leave as little a mark on the planet as possible. And with this in mind all my products are:

Made in the UK by manufacturers who all source their materials, manage their materials and deal with their waste responsibly.

1 tree is planted for every order in partnership with Ecologi.

All packaging is plastic free, from tags and belly bands to postal packaging, and where possibly is also used multiple times.

If your item does come covered, it’s in a biodegradable cellophane which will naturally decompose but also keeps your paper looking crisp on it’s travels.

You can read more about my attempt to be as sustainable a business as possible in this blog post.

Delivery & Returns

All orders are processed within 3-5 working days and standard postage is via Royal Mail Tracked 48.

All items are sent plastic free and in some cases the postal packaging you receive may have been used before.  Wherever possible I do recycle packaging, but I do check it’s in good enough condition to protect your items before it’s used.  I don’t, however, think it’s right to say I'm all about being sustainable and then use totally fresh postal packaging for every order.

For all non-personalised items we accept returns up to 14 days after delivery, as long as the item is unused and in its original condition.

FAQs

Do you make everything yourself?

All the designs you see on my products are the results of my own original hand-drawn artwork which in turn I transform digitally into repeat patterns.  The physical products are then printed/made/sewn by specialist manufacturers from around the UK.

Do you use AI in your designs?

AI (Artificial intelligence) is not used at any stage of my creative process.

As a small business who uses lots of different tools, it’s impossible to avoid AI altogether in the running of my business, but my creative process is absolutely where I draw the line.  You can read more about my thoughts on AI, and how it is involved in other areas of my business, in this blog post.

Do you take wholesale orders?

Absolutely I do - it’s my favourite way of getting my stationery out into the world! You can find more information on the wholesale page of my website.
