This Field Notes set is the perfect travelling companion. Ready to take notes, keep key info at hand, serve as a holiday diary or just generally live in your handbag for those moments where you need to write things down.
The butterfly and moth motifs are originally hand-drawn, inspired from a trip round the Blenheim Palace Butterfly House with my then 1 and 4 year old daughters who found the sheer number of winged insects around them mind-blowing. I then took these hand-drawn sketches, refined and digitised them to turn into the repeat patterns you can see.
The narrow notebook has 76 pages, with a faint grey dot grid on the recycled white 90gsm paper. The cover is 300gsm, full colour printed on the outside and has a square spine which is stapled in two places and carefully folded to give a neat spine and a flat-close finish. These notebooks are the perfect compromise between the convenience of an A5 Notepad and the useful functionality of a chunkier A5 notebook.
The slimline pencil case has been printed and handmade in Scotland on 100% eco-cotton, also has a cotton lining and a zip made from recycled plastics with a leather zip pull. It's a great size for on the go, fitting lots of different pens in, or alternatively use it for make-up, accessories, headphones etc or even to keep medication concealed but easy to hand.
Both items will be packaged individually, with recycled/recyclable belly band and swing tag, but otherwise both are totally plastic free. They’ll then be tied together with paper string, ready for you to give as-is, or re-wrap for extra oomph.
