Description
These notebooks are the perfect compromise between the convenience of an A5 Notepad and the useful functionality of an A5 Dot-grid notebook.
When the opportunity arose to reintroduce these to the stationery range I jumped at the chance. A5 notebooks are so useful, whether at home or to carry around in handbags or laptop cases, but not everyone needs 200+ pages all the time. Plus it's another excuse to add colourful patterns to your useful everyday stationery.
The butterfly motifs are originally hand-drawn, inspired from a trip round the Blenheim Palace Butterfly House with my then 1 and 4 year old daughters. They were then digitised and turned into the repeat pattern you see on this notebook. This pattern is actually a reprint of one from the design archives - a popular print that went out of stock in 2022, but is now back! And this size of notebook is the perfect place for a slightly busier and playful pattern just like this one.
The 300gsm smooth card cover wraps all around the notebook, with a plain inner cover and 76 white dot grid pages within it. The dots are light and unobtrusive so you can still write straight when you need to and also doodle without limitations. The inner pages are 90gsm, so ever so slightly lighter than my other products, but frankly you will barely notice. It still holds up well to all your everyday writing tools, and I have practiced lots to make sure!
The notebooks have perfect, square spine binding, with the pages stapled in two places and carefully folded to give a neat spine and a flat-close finish. This actually makes them brilliant for keeping alongside your other notes, and especially for carrying as they don't get as caught on things falling open like some thinner notebooks can.
These notebooks are printed by a printers I have been working with for a number of years, who are specialist in eco-friendly printing with the cover and pages both being recycled papers and their processes and methods are fully certified to meet strict environmental and socially responsible standards.
Each notebook comes wrapped with a paper belly band and label, and in some cases may also be in a biodegradable cello wrap so you can also dispose of it in your general rubbish and know it will decompose without harming the environment.
These notebooks make a great budget-friendly gift for so many people - being both colourful and practical they suit stationery lovers, keen writers, recent graduates, teachers and even Secret-Santa's at the right time of year. Whether on its own or mixed with others in a DIY-gift set, you can give the gift of gorgeous everyday stationery knowing that you've thought of the environment and supported a small woman-owned UK based business.
Sustainability
Sustainability
I want my products to leave as little a mark on the planet as possible. And with this in mind all my products are:
Made in the UK by manufacturers who all source their materials, manage their materials and deal with their waste responsibly.
1 tree is planted for every order in partnership with Ecologi.
All packaging is plastic free, from tags and belly bands to postal packaging, and where possibly is also used multiple times.
If your item does come covered, it’s in a biodegradable cellophane which will naturally decompose but also keeps your paper looking crisp on it’s travels.
You can read more about my attempt to be as sustainable a business as possible in this blog post.
Delivery & Returns
Delivery & Returns
All orders are processed within 3-5 working days and standard postage is via Royal Mail Tracked 48.
All items are sent plastic free and in some cases the postal packaging you receive may have been used before. Wherever possible I do recycle packaging, but I do check it’s in good enough condition to protect your items before it’s used. I don’t, however, think it’s right to say I'm all about being sustainable and then use totally fresh postal packaging for every order.
For all non-personalised items we accept returns up to 14 days after delivery, as long as the item is unused and in its original condition.
FAQs
FAQs
Do you make everything yourself?
All the designs you see on my products are the results of my own original hand-drawn artwork which in turn I transform digitally into repeat patterns. The physical products are then printed/made/sewn by specialist manufacturers from around the UK.
Do you use AI in your designs?
AI (Artificial intelligence) is not used at any stage of my creative process.
As a small business who uses lots of different tools, it’s impossible to avoid AI altogether in the running of my business, but my creative process is absolutely where I draw the line. You can read more about my thoughts on AI, and how it is involved in other areas of my business, in this blog post.
Do you take wholesale orders?
Absolutely I do - it’s my favourite way of getting my stationery out into the world! You can find more information on the wholesale page of my website.
